A crude “ghetto handbook” distributed to police patrolling Houston’s public schools has resulted in the suspension of one officer. The eight-page booklet–a copy of which you’ll find at the link provided below–was handed out in May by an officer with the city’s Independent School District, but did not come to the attention of school brass until recently, when a discrimination complaint was lodged. The booklet, which was given to about 20 cops, is subtitled “Wucha dun did now?,” and purports to help the reader “learn to speak ebonics as if you just came out of the hood…because you could find yourself with a problem one day and ebonics could save your life.” The booklet offers definitions for street slang like “hoodrat” (”scummy girl”) and “foty” (a 40-ounce bottle of beer) and concludes with a “poem” incorporating these terms. It also includes a copyright notation that the booklet is a “first edition, second soon to follow.” That now appears to be the wishful thinking of a novice author.

So I’m watching this movie while I type this.. It’s called the “40 year old virgin”
(Shit is funny as hell!!!) And in the movie one of the guys says “You wanna have sex with a hoodrat the first time…” I was like (in my best redneck voice) “What da hail is a Hoodrat??” Hahaha smh. And then this idiot that wrote this “8 Page Book” *Does that even count as a fucking book if it’s only 8 pages?? WTF? Doesn’t even know that the “Slang term” for “FORTY” is not “FOTY” What the fuck is a foty?? smdh.
“40 oz” is the size of the drink being consumed usually beer for those who’s “Lives are in danger of not knowing this??” LOL! You know on a serious note??Buppies and Yuppies alike say that “Ebonics” is not a REAL lanuage!? But now with the publication of this very fine periodical I beg to differ!! We now have the validation we soooooooooo needed so we can speak freely around the cops! *Yes. I am being extremely sarcastic.* lol. Honestly I don’t think the cop should be arrested if there are dumb ass motherfuckers out there that care that much about what the fuck we are saying to write a book about it? Then maybe we haven’t spoken enough! Oh wait do I need to translate? haha.. Really tho.. I know this is suppose to be an insult and it would be if it weren’t true. Something that is suppose to make black ppl look ignorant?
I say the real ignorant asses are the ones buying this book.

ok lets see…and they wonder why houston’s pucblic school system (in the predominantly hispanic and african american areas) have the least amount of graduates, and the schools get the least amount of help, have the worst teachers, and the highest crime rate? could it possibly have anything remotely to do with how the students are viewed? Im sure whoever wrote this meant it to be funny (as bored as they must have been to create this) but its just plain sad, and ignorant. To the point that it was dsitributed to the cops who what? patrol the HISD (houston independent school district). like this pamphlet is going to “smooth” the already stressful situation out…if the cop pulls that booklet out at the time of the altercation, all it will do is ensue an even bigger issue..wait maybe that’s the goal…get the cops in trouble…lol
anyways its just plain ignorance no matter how you look at it. This reminds me tho of something David Chapelle would write..when he attempts to shed a little “humorous” light on something thats the bigger issue…
