This is some serious shit, K. It’s funny how people trust in their govts to protect their rights, and look at how a racial group’s civil rights are being disregarded and outright denied because of self-empowerment initiatives taken to jump start community building, unity, and a sense of pride. They call it “Militant thinking” as if it’s something dangerous and threatening. It’s a mindset that’s determined to change the plight of a stigmatized and dehumanized people from something negative to something positive.
I’ve been mad late on these entries, K, but when I get a chance to get on here for more than a few minutes lol I want to comment ’cause what you’re posting is socially conscious stuff that people need to be aware of if they aren’t already. It’s good to discuss it too, gets different perspectives from people.
Wow, this is something. I feel deja vu. The same kind of surveillance is going on in ‘07. Only now it’s Big Brother and politics watching hip-hop and labelling in the devil’s music and all that other nonsense. “Cease and desist” that’s the war of today., that’s their aim for contemporary urban Black America youth…
